Stuart MacKintosh
Stuart MacKintosh is the embodiment of Highland culture and a stalwart of the Inverness music scene: Stuart has created a reputation as an innovative composer, a distinguished player of the accordion, an encouraging tutor, and has been an unmovable figure in the Glenurquhart Shinty Team.
Teaching
Stuart has 20 years experience of teaching the Accordion which gives both children & adults the opportunity to learn Scottish Traditional Music.
Feis A’ Bhalie – Bogsa Club
On the last Sunday of each month Stuart hosts a group work session run by Feis A’ Bhaile. These sessions are held in Balloch Hall, Inverness from 2:30pm-4:30pm To book or for additional info email feisabhaile@feisean.org
Schiehallion Gig Guide
Stuart has been the Accordion player with Schiehallion since 2004. Stuart and founding member Kenny Jamieson on Guitar are the main duo who gig around the country, but they are also joined on occasion by Bagpipe player Callum MacGillivray who joined the band in 2008, and various other musicians.
Compositions
Stuart has been commissioned on a number of occasions to compose tunes. If you’re interested in getting a special tune composed just get in touch for further information, Stuart will be delighted to discuss your requirements with you.
